Welcome to the TNHSP website!  We hope you enjoy your visit and that you’ll come away from the experience knowing more about what makes TNHSP unique.

We designed our high school program based on the best available educational research and our ample classroom experience.  A lot of careful planning went into TNHSP.  The result is a special school that works to unwrap the potential of students who may have struggled in a traditional educational setting.  Every aspect of this school was chosen to create a welcoming, involved, and successful learning experience for our students.  We had the rare opportunity to build a school “from the ground up.”  We embraced that opportunity by rethinking every aspect of the high school experience, from the schedule to the classrooms to the curriculum.

At the heart of TNHSP is our belief that students can learn to learn.  As teachers, it is our job to help them do so.  We adapt our teaching strategies to meet their individual needs.  Then we empower them with the skills, knowledge, and enthusiasm they need to move on to a lifetime of learning.
